A couple and their six-month-old daughter were killed this morning when their motorcycle was hit by a truck on GT Road, police said.
According to police, Mohit (35), Jyoti (32) and their daughter Gori died on the spot while another daughter, 4-year- old Radha, escaped unhurt in the mishap that occurred near Jadaudajatt village of the district.
Saharanpur SSP Nitin Tiwari said that the couple belonged to Krishnapur in Muzaffarnagar district and were going to Saharanpur with their two children to get some medicine.
Tiwari said the truck driver managed to escape, but his vehicle has now been seized.
The three bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
