A couple was found hanging from a tree at Bola village in Rajasthan's Barmer district.
The deceased were identified as Dungarram Bheel (22) and Luni Bheel (16), residents of Dhanoda village.
SHO Dhannapuri Goswami said they had been in a relationship for over a year. The girl's family had fixed her engagement with some other person following which both went missing from their homes.
Their bodies were handed over to their respective families following post mortem, he said, adding that a case has been registered and investigation is on.
