Calanagute police arrested Alim Ulah (31), a Rajasthan native living in Goa, and his wife Valentina Shol (29), a Kyrgyz national, following a raid today.

Police also seized American dollars and Euros, collectively worth Rs 6.8 lakh, from the possession of the couple.

The duo used to provide escort services for tourists visiting the state, police said.

During the raid, two Indian girls were rescued, they said, adding that two other persons, one each from Delhi and Bangalore, were arrested.

Police inspector Nolasco Raposo said Ulah and his wife used to send girls to five-star hotels and had a website through which they accepted 'bookings'.

"We were tracking this racket for some time now. Finally, we managed to arrest them by sending decoys," Raposo said.
