A couple died while three others were injured after the car they were travelling in was hit by another car near Kanshi Nagar on National Highway 1 here, police said today.
The deceased have been identified as Raju Thapa (35) and his wife Meena Thapa (32) of Kurukshetra.
The three relatives of the couple, including another couple Raj and Sangita, and Yamuna Devi of Ludhiana, were injured and hospitalised, police said.

They were returning yesterday after paying obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir when an unknown vehicle hit their car here and sped away, police said.
Police has registered a case under Section 304-A (causing death by negligence) of IPC against the driver of the unknown vehicle.
