A 60-year-old man and his wife were killed and at least seven others injured as two cars collided on the Kota-Lalsot Mega Highway near Laban village in Rajasthan's Bundi district, police said.
Surajmal Goyal and his wife Shanti Devi, residents of Chawani area in Kota city, died on the spot, they said.
Goyal, his wife, their two daughters-in-law and the driver were on the way to a temple in a car when it was hit by another vehicle coming from the opposite direction on the wrong side, Station House Officer (SHO), Deikheda, Ashok Meena said.
Goyal's driver and his daughters-in-law suffered injuries while three-four occupants of the another car were also hurt, the SHO said.
He said the injured were rushed to MBS hospital in Kota.
Police have not registered any case in this connection as the statements of the victims are yet to be recorded, he added.
Goyal originally hails from Bamanwas village in Sawai Madhopur district but had been living in Kota for years, police said.
