A couple was killed and four others, including two women, were seriously injured when two cars collided at Chettipalayam on the city outskirts, today.
According to police, a four-member family was going to a temple in Vellakoil in Tirupur district when the accident occured, in which, the husband Murugaraj, who was behind the wheel and wife, Padmavathi died on the spot.
Two women in the car sustained serious injuries, while two others in the opposite car had bleeding injuries and were admitted to the hospital, they said.
