A couple died in a landslide that hit their house in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir today.
Rescuers, however, managed to save their three-year-old daughter from under the debris, a defence spokesman said.
The house of Abdul Gani Khandey was hit by a landslide triggered by incessant rains at Kawanwas village in Ramban district, the spokesman said, adding that Khandey, his wife and their daughter were buried under the debris.
After locals sought help, the Army launched a rescue operation and managed to rescue their girl child, but the parents succumbed to their injuries, he said.
