A couple working as domestic help at the residence of a retired Army officer here allegedly committed by hanging themselves, police said.
Rajesh (35) and Malti (32) lived on upper floor in the house of retired Colonel A K Shrivastava in Shakti Nagar locality here.
The duo was found dead late last night, Palasia police station inspector Shivpal Singh Kushwaha said today.
Circumstantial evidence did not indicate any signs of struggle by the couple, he said.
The couple took the extreme step apparently due to domestic discord, he said.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem, Kushwaha said adding that further investigation was on.
