'Court' actress Geetanjali Kulkarni joins 'Sandhya'

Actress Geetanjali Kulkarni, last seen in "Court", which is this year's official Oscar entry from India, has joined the cast of Mukti Krishan's directorial debut "Sandhya".

Kulkarni, an award-winning theatre actress, will play the titular role of Sandhya, a zoo attendant desperately in search of a husband.

The film also stars Sachin Khedekar, best known for his roles in films like "Astitva" and Shyam Benegal's "Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero", where he played the titular character.

The film is expected to go on floors in June next year in Pune, which is the director's hometown. The film will be made in Hindi, Marathi and English, it was announced at NFDC Film Bazaar.
 

Ravi Khambhoj's Sydney-based 7Seas Films is producing alongside Joe S Khera's Shooting Fish Entertainment from Canada.
