The court held Harinder Singh guilty of raping a minor girl in 2010.
Suresh Kumar, a resident of Mandi Gobindgarh, had informed police on November 9, 2010, that his minor daughter had gone to buy medicine but did not return home.
Kumar said he later came to know that Harinder had enticed his daughter on the pretext of marrying her.
On Kumar's complaint, a case was registered against Harinder and he was arrested.
