Special Judge-cum-Additional District and Sessions Judge Raghupati Singh held Mohammad Afsar Alam guilty on various counts and also slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 failing which he would have to undergo additional six months of jail term.

The court convicted him under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) 2012 and various sections of IPC that included 363, 366, 376 D.

It also made clear that all the sentences would run concurrently.

The court acquitted all the other persons named in the FIR for want of evidence and only convicted Afsar Alam in this connection.
