Court awards lifer to 12 accused of killing a 28-year-old man

A local court has awarded life imprisonment to 12 people for brutally killing a 28-year-old man in July 2011.

The sentence was awarded yesterday by First Additional Sessions Judge Hitendra Singh Sisodia, the prosecution said today.

The punishment was awarded to Chiragya Singh (26), Ferang (26), Lalsingh (48), Biya (32), Bhavalya (50), Suparia (35), Vahriya (35), Tel Singh (37), Gunjaria (38), Gulab Singh (52), Tersingh (30) and Shantilal (26) by the court, government advocate Rajesh Gothwal said.

"They brutally killed Ramlal by attacking him with a sharp-edged weapon after a land dispute," he said.
