Court extends remand of pipe bomb accused to September 18

The judicial remand of six persons arrested in connection with the planting of pipe bombs at the residences of former Union Ministers, P Chidambaram at Paganeri in Sivaganga district, V Narayanasamy in Puducherry and also at Reliance Market here, has been extended till September 18.

The six persons suspected to be members of the Tamizhar Viduthalai Padai (Tamils' Liberation Army), lodged at the Central prison were produced before the Magistrate, Mahendran Boopathy.

All the six persons have been already detained under National Security Act.
