A self-styled Godman, who is accused of raping a woman and her mother here and in Jaipur, has been given transit anticipatory bail for a week by a Delhi court.
The court granted the relief to Rajnish Grover, a South Delhi resident, for seven days asking him to approach a court in Jaipur where the rape case was registered and apply for bail there.
"In the facts and circumstances of the case especially in view of the limited nature of the relief claimed, applicant Grover is admitted to transit anticipatory bail for one week, subject to his filing personal bond and surety bond in the sum of Rs one lakh with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the investigating officer/SHO concerned with the condition that he shall join the investigation as and when required by the investigating agency," Additional Sessions Judge A K Jain said.

Grover alias Ashok Kumar, a self-styled religious figurehead, and others, including women, were made accused in a rape and extortion case filed by a 22-year-old woman, who had alleged that the man had sexually assaulted her and her mother by giving them intoxicating biscuits as 'prasad'.
The woman has also made accused her brother's wife, who was a follower of Grover, in the case. The court had earlier granted transit anticipatory bail for two weeks to the victim woman's sister-in-law.
An FIR was registered in the matter at Jawahar Circle Police Station in Rajasthan's Jaipur East district on July 3.
Advocate Vijay Aggarwal, who appeared for Grover, sought transit anticipatory bail claiming he was falsely implicated in the case and it was a "counter blast" as the alleged victim's sister-in-law has already filed a complaint against her in-laws in Delhi.
He said the time of alleged offence was November 2015 while an FIR has been registered in July this year.
The complainant's counsel opposed the bail plea saying the accused was involved in a serious offence of raping various women on the pretext of being a 'Baba'.
The prosecutor argued that this court had no jurisdiction to grant any relief as the FIR was lodged in Jaipur.
