Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mukesh Kumar issued NBWs against eight men, all belonging to Bareilly, for January 28 after the Crime Branch of Delhi Police submitted to it that they are still absconding.

The eight against whom the NBWs were issued are Hardayal Singh, Satnam Singh, Baj Singh, Balkar Singh, Pargat Singh, Kulbir Singh, Bakshish Singh and Dharmender.

The court, meanwhile, also remanded the two aides of sacked Uttarakhand minority panel chief S S Namdhari -- Simranjeet Singh and Jagbir Singh, arrested for their alleged involvement in the shootout, in judicial custody till December 27.

The two accused, members of Namdhari's 'Khalsa Sena,' were produced in the court after expiry of their police custody tenure.

The police interrogated the two for 10 days and told the court that the accused are not required for further custodial interrogation.

The court also dismissed the plea of Simranjeet for a separate cell in the Tihar Jail or Rohini Jail apprehending that the other jail inmates may assault him.

"No sufficient reason has been assigned by the counsel for the accused (Simranjeet). So it is dismissed," it said.

Simranjeet and Jagbir, both hailing from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh, were arrested for their alleged involvement in the case, the police had said, adding the total number of arrests now stand at 10.

A .315 bore rifle with seven cartridges and a 12 bore double barrel (DBBL) gun with 10 live cartridges were seized from the duo's possession.

Ponty and Hardeep, who had an ongoing property dispute, were killed in a shootout at their Chattarpur farmhouse in South Delhi on November 17. (More)
