Court orders filing of FIR in rape case

An FIR has been lodged against two policemen on the directives of a local court here for refusing to lodge complaint of a rape victim.

Another FIR was also lodged on the court's directive against nine persons for raping the victim, official sources said here today.

The victim had gone to Mallawan police station on March 10 to lodge a complaint accusing Mulayam Singh, Bhudhani Singh, Shravan Kumar Singh, Ankit, Vivek, Madan and one more person of rape.

The victim alleged that instead of lodging the complaint, the then sub-inspector Ranveer Singh Yadav and senior SI Harjeet Sigh Cheema held the woman, her husband and brother-in -law at the police station.
 

She alleged that the policemen assaulted them and lodged a false case against them.

On the order of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (second) a rape case was lodged against Mulayam, Bhudhani, Shravan, Ankit, Vivek, Madan and one more person for rape.

Another FIR was lodged against policemen Ranveer and Harjeet for assaulting the victims and lodging a false case.
