A local court on Wednesday ordered registration of an FIR against the BJP MP from Bansgaon, Kamlesh Paswan, and four others in a land dispute.
The BJP MP said he will challenge the decision of Chief Judicial Magistrate Yasmin Akbar, who has directed the police to lodge the FIR against the five at Cant police station.
The court's directive came on an application moved by Narendra Pratap Singh a resident of Pratap market, in Cant area alleging that land belonging to his father Late Fuddi Singh was encroached upon by some people who constructed Baldev Plaza there.
The petitioner alleged that Sudha Prasad, wife of Lt Yogendra Prasad, and her son Kaustbh Prasad and Kandarp Prasad along with the MP tried to prove ownership of the land with fake documents in 1999 . The then ADM administration, Mukesh Kumar Meshram, found during investigation that the true owner of the land is Late Fuddi Singh, he claimed.
Kamlesh Paswan said, "We will challenge the CJM order in high court. The case is of 2015 and Narendra Pratap Singh has claimed his ownership on the land. We will also file defamation case against him.
