A special court here Wednesday ordered seizure of disproportionate assets worth Rs 36.29 lakh belonging to a revenue department employee under the Madhya Pradesh Prevention of Corruption Act.

Judge Alok Mishra in his order termed the patwari (revenue official) Laxminarayan Yadav's assets as earned through corrupt means, the prosecution said.

Public Prosecutor Mahendra Kumar Chaturvedi said that Yadav's properties included three agricultural lands, a car, an earthmover machine and gold and silver jewellery besides money in bank accounts.

The seized assets would be used in public interest, he said.

Lokayukta Police had raided Yadav's properties on March 28, 2012 when he was posted as patwari in Sanwer area of Indore district.
