A local court has rejected final report of the police in a gang-rape case and ordered further probe into the matter after the victim opposed the report at Katka village in the district, police said today.

The final report in the gang-rape case was rejected yesterday by the court, as the 14-year-old victim opposed it, saying that the police have not recorded her statement, they said.

The girl was allegedly gang-raped by five persons after being confined in her house at Katka village in the district on June 5. Police registered a case against the accused on June 11 on the directions of Superintendent of Police and filed the final report on June 16, 2013.
