A local court has sentenced five persons to life imprisonment for murdering a 40-year-old man in the district eight years ago.
Additional District Sessions Judge Gaurav Srivastava also imposed a fine of Rs 12,000 on Saeed, Shahid, Rajib, Arshad and Javed after holding them guilty under section 302 of IPC last evening.
Syed (40) was strangulated to death by the accused over old enmity at Tewda village in the district on February 20, 2008.
