A court here today sentenced two men to 20 years of imprisonment for raping a minor girl on the district collectorate premises here in 2015.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Prabhakar Mishra, who is also the Special Judge of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court, handed out the jail term to Jitendra Kumar and Niku Kumar for raping the minor girl.
The POCSO court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the two convicts.
One of the convicts was the driver of the then additional district magistrate (disaster management).
The incident dates back to January 4, 2015, when the convicts forcefully took the minor girl into a generator room on the collectorate premises and raped her.
