Principal Sessions Judge P Kalaiarasan also ordered issue of summons to Editor, Printer and Publisher DMK mouthpiece 'Murasoli' S Selvam.
The state government in its complaint had sought prosecution of Karunanidhi for alleged libellous comments about two AIADMK Ministers and Selvam for publishing the comments in Murasoli in the August 23 edition.
Karunanidhi had alleged family interference in clearing of files by ministers K T Pachamal and N R Sivapathy.
