Kolenchery Judicial Magistrate R Jayakrishnan yesterday turned down the application filed by the crime branch after Nazir had earlier refused to submit himself to the test.

The Magistrate said the Crime branch should not have filed such an application as the Supreme Court had clearly stated that narco, polygraph and brain mapping tests cannot be conducted without the consent of the accused.

Earlier, Nazir, the main accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts, has also been listed as an accused in the robbery case after the NIA court, hearing various terror related cases in Kerala, gave its nod.

Police had sought permission to subject Nazir to the test to find out to whom the gold jewels were sold. The jewellery was targeted to raise funds for terror activities.
