Two cousin brothers drowned in a water tank in Anadgarh area in the district, police said today.
Vijendra Kumar (35) and his cousin Sandeep (22) were sitting near the tank last night and consuming liquor.
Vijendra, under the influence of alcohol, slipped into the tank and drowned.
Sandeep tried to rescue him but also drowned, police said.
The bodies were fished out today on information by local villagers and handed over to family members after a post-mortem.
