The Covelong Point Challenge, which includes a sprint triathlon, sprint duathlon, a 5K run and beach side obstacle course race, will be held at Kovalam near here on March 11.
The event is organised by Wild Warrior, which has former India tennis star Somdev Devvarman as a co-founder, a release said.
The events to be held are: A sprint triathlon (ocean swim, bike, run), sprint duathlon (run, bike, run), both individual and team, a 5K run and one-km beach side obstacle course race and will start at 6 a.m.

Wild Warrior co-founder, Vikram Menon said, "Obstacle course races are slowly gaining popularity as a serious sport around the globe. In Asia and especially India, it is at a very nascent stage. We want to make this sport more mainstream and accessible to our community with these events.."
Vikram is an elite obstacle course racer and represented India in the Asian Obstacle Course Race Championship in Manila recently and finished sixth.
The event is likely to attract participants from a few countries like Singapore, Sri Lanka and Malaysia, apart from India.
