CoWrks mulls pan-India presence with 12 centres

: Bengaluru-headquartered CoWrks has planned to set up 12 centres across the country as part of the expansion plans.

The co-working space provider has set up the first centre at One Paramount in Porur in the city, marking its foray in the region that is spread across 20,400 square feet with seating capacity of over 300 members, a company statement said.

The company as part of the expansion plans would also double the existing facility across 44,000 square feet.

In a month's time, the company has planned to set up the second centre at RMZ Millenia Business Park, Old Mahabalipuram Road, which would make it the largest co-working space that would spread across 88,000 square feet accommodating 1,500 people.
 

"Chennai is emerging as a hub for diverse sectors and industries including technology, innovation. With two fully operational centres in Bengaluru, there is a huge anticipation for Chennai launch," founder and CEO, Sidharth Menda said.

"The CoWrks community would strengthen by 15,000 members with 12 centres across 7.50 lakh square foot in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR region and Chennai," he said.

CoWrks currently operates in two locations in Bengaluru spread across two lakh square feet and has over 3,500 members, the release added.
