Cows, animal skins recovered in Mathura

In a surprise raid, four cows and animal skins were today recovered from a village near here.

They were recovered from Hathia village under Barsana police station.

"Four cows in horrible condition along with four animal skins were recovered from an enclosure in village Hathia falling under Barsana police station today," SP rural Arun Kumar Singh said, adding that prima facie the skins appeared to be of cows.

He said the raid was conducted on the tip of an informer, by police led by SHO Udai Pratap Singh.

The accused Deenu and Shakeel managed to flee.

While the cows have been sent to a private Goshala (cowshed), the skins have been sent to veterinary university- based government lab for examination, he stated.
 

He said the hunt for both the accused is on.
