The CPI in Kerala today decided to publicly admonish senior leader and state Forest minister K Raju for undertaking a trip to Germany when the state was ravaged by torrential rains.
A meeting of the CPI state executive held here today passed a resolution to this effect, a party release said.
It was decided to publicly admonish minister Raju who undertook a trip to Germany without considering the seriousness of the flood situation, the release said.
Raju had left on August 16 to attend a conference, organised by the World Malayalee Council, and returned on August 20.
The congress-led UDF opposition and a section in his party had demanded stern action against Raju for taking a foreign trip at a time when the state was facing a calamity.
