CPI demands thorough probe into document stealing

The CPI today termed the theft of official documents from Petroleum ministry here as an outcome of the nexus between oil companies and bureaucrats and demanded a "comprehensive" probe into it.

"The incident of stealing of government documents is a serious thing and it is an outcome of the nexus between the oil companies and the bureaucrats", party MP D Raja said.

He said "what has come out in the public domain is only the tip of the iceberg and there is a need to go to the depth of the document stealing by the corporate houses."

Terming it "anti national", he demanded a thorough probe into the whole episode.
