At a press conference here, K N Balagopal claimed the government was "well aware of the malpractices" and even the Supreme Court and parliamentarians had "red flagged" many issues.
The CAG report "further proves a criminal conspiracy on part of the government to help the private airport developer. We demand a thorough probe by a federal agency into the issue," the CPI(M) Rajya Sabha MP said.
Demanding immediate halt to collection of development fee (DF) from passengers, he asked the government to take urgent steps to "retrieve the amount illegally collected by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL)". (more)
