CPI-M politburo member Brinda Karat today flayed the Tamil Nadu government for not ensuring proper distribution of house site pattas and community certificates to the tribals concerned.
Karat, also president of the All India Adivasi Rights National Forum president, alleged that the pattas were not given to the beneficiaries "but it is enjoyed by political leaders."
She alleged that false cases were being foisted against tribal leaders and demanded that government withdraw them.
She was addressing a meeting of the tribals in Salem district.
