At the same time, the party advocated fresh polls.

"Our party has already decided that I should sit in the opposition and not support any government, because any new government will meet the same fate," party's lone legislator Vinod Kumar Singh said.

He said a fresh mandate would be better than any cut-and-paste government. There had been no common minimum programme between the JMM and the BJP when the duo entered into an alliance before falling out.

"The same thing would happen if JMM enters allies with the Congress. It would only serve their interests and not the state's," he added.
