The CPI today sought to know what steps the BJP government at the Centre was taking to curb prices on essential commodities.
"Prices of essential commodities like flour and lentils have increased. We would like to know why prices are not being controlled," senior CPI leader Atul Anjan said at a press conference here.
Seeking to know from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the steps being taken to address over "850 promises he made during his election meetings," Anjan said, "The people of the country are closely observing activities of hoarders, black marketeers and stock brokers, and the promises made by Modi.
