CPI has decided to contest the South Delhi Lok Sabha seat, putting up youth leader Srichand Tanwer.

Whether it would put up candidates in the six other parliamentary constituencies of Delhi "will be decided after consultations with other Left parties," CPI Delhi unit said in a statement, while announcing its decision.

It said issues of price rise, corruption, unemployment and pro-corporate politics of UPA government and BJP would be raised during the campaign, which would also focus on the threat of communalism.
