The Communist Party of India(CPI) plans to organise protests against the Land Acquisition Bill of the NDA government on May 14, CPI General Secretary S Sudhakar Reddy said here today.

Talking to reporters at the CPI's 22nd national congress which concluded at Puducherry recently, he alleged that the NDA government favoured corporates at the cost of farmers.

He found fault with the NDA government for claiming that the proposed bill would benefit farmers.

The CPI would expose wrong policies of the NDA government in the coming days, he said.

Noting that a resolution was passed at the CPI congress in favour of Left unity, Reddy said efforts should be made by party activists in that direction.
