Despite electoral reverses, CPI would bounce back due to the 'failure' of the NDA government at the Centre on many fronts and people losing faith in it, the party's National Secretary, Sudhakar Reddy said today.

"BJP is getting exposed and losing credibility in the eyes of the people. Considering its failure in delivering the goods, CPI will re-establish the confidence of the people. Left parties will become a credible alternative to ruling BJP and Congress, both at national and state level," he said here.

He was speaking after inaugurating a four-day state conference of the party.

Admitting that there had been an erosion of vote base in its strongholds, Reddy said CPI would take up basic and urgent issues faced by the common people and ask its workers to strengthen the party at the grassroot level.

The party will also identify issues being neglected by the government and take it to the masses to get their support, he said.
