CPI (M) today urged the Himachal Pradesh government to ensure speedy investigation into the allegations levelled against Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association.
The irregularities allegedly committed by HPCA headed by BJP MP, Anurag Thakur, who is also son of former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, must be exposed and the guilty must be punished, CPI(M) leader and Deputy Mayor of Shimla Municipal Corporation, Takinder Panwar and executive member Vinay Sharma said.
Both the BJP and Congress have politicised the issue and are engaged in settling political scores and the real issue of "irregularities" of HPCA has been pushed into background.
Panwar said that his move was not against any individual or individuals but intend to save the game of cricket which has been kept on the fence and instead the HPCA was used to promote the business interests of a few.
