A complaint has been filed against unknown persons at Tilak Marg police station here by a CPWD engineer and a contractor for allegedly locking them up in Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel's house, police said today.

CPWD junior engineer Dharmender and a contractor Narender alleged in their complaint to police that they were locked by unknown persons as they had gone regarding ongoing construction work at the minister's residence this morning.

They alleged that they were locked up by some people in the minister's house after those people didn't approve of the colour of the tiles.

The minister, however, said that they should have approached her about the issue instead of going to media.

"They should have come to the minister rather than go to the media. Why didn't they come to me? This is a very easy way of doing things," she said.
