As many as eleven persons were today arrested under different police stations of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate here after a cricket betting racket was busted and Rs 9.28 lakh, 26 mobile phones were seized.
The sleuths of Commissioner's Special Operations Team, Malkajgiri Zone apprehended 11 persons including main bookies, collection agents, punters and line organisers and launched hunt to nab 29 others, who are found absconding, a release from Cyberabad Police said.
"The organisers were operating from residential properties in the limits of Medipally, Kushaiguda and Vanasthalipuram police stations with the help of main lines, which are operating from Bengaluru and Visakapatnam in view of ICC T-20 World Cup 2016 between India vs West Indies," it said.
