A Mumbai-based bookie and seven others have been arrested from Deolali Camp near here for allegedly accepting bets on a Champion's League match played between Chennai Super King and Titans.
The accused were identified as Naresh Hiralal Misar (Mumbai), Jitendra Jadhav (Satara), Niranjan Rampalli, Rikrit Desai (both from Ahmedabad), Dhiraj Sharma, Praveen Wagh, Kiran Davande (Nashik) and Kailash Shringarpure (Nanded), police said.
Acting on a tip-off the accused were arrested on Saturday night from Navakar Society at Deolali Camp, they said.
Three laptops, several mobile phones, sim cards, set top box, pen drive, a passport, a foreign make pistol, six rounds, and two cars were seized from the spot.
The accused were remanded in police custody till October 2.
