Crime branch books one for usurping temple property

A man has been booked for allegedly usurping a temple property in Valley by executing a "fake" rent deed.

An FIR was registered against P L Chaku for executing "fake and fabricated" rent deed of temple complex at Bagh-e-Sunder Balla Chattabal in Srinagar city, SSP Crime Branch Jammu, Mubassir Latifee said.

Hirday Nath, president Bhora Mandir Committee, had lodged a complaint that Chaku had occupied the property of Shri Ram Mandir temple and had been running a school there.

SSP said that it was further alleged that accused person had executed fake rent deed with some other persons without the consent and permission of the Committee.
 

During the course of enquiry, it was found that accused had prepared and executed the fake deed on 14/03/2012 purportedly signed by one Amar Nath Bazaz as landlord, whereas the said Bazaz had died on 12/01/2012, in order to cheat and usurp the property.
