Two persons were arrested near New Ashok Nagar Metro Station and five kg of ganja was recovered from their possession, police said Wednesday. Accused Deepak (22) and Jitender (32) told police that they used to procure ganja from Noida and ferry it to Karnal in Haryana via Delhi.

-- Two persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in auto theft cases, and two stolen motorcycle were recovered from them, police said Wednesday.

Accused Rahul (22) and Abhishek (19) said they learnt several tricks of bike thefts by watching online videos. Abhishek also worked at a friend's bike repair shop. They planned to use stolen motorcycles for committing crimes such as snatching.

 

-- Three persons were arrested and three juveniles were held for their alleged involvement in auto theft, police said Wednesday. On Tuesday, six persons were apprehended at Madhav Setu in Ranjit Nagar when they tried to flee after the police had signalled them to stop.

During interrogation, they revealed that they usually steal two-wheelers and use them for the purpose of committing robbery or snatching as well as to earn quick money by selling them to prospective buyers.

-- One person was arrested and one juvenile held for allegedly robbing a journalist's mobile in south-east Delhi's Nizamuddin area, police said Wednesday.

On Sunday night, the journalist was going from his home to New Delhi Railway Station to pick his wife. Near flyover Neela Gumbad, Humayun Tomb, his car's tyre got punctured. As soon as he stopped his car to change the tyre, two boys -- Faisal (22) and the juvenile -- came from Khusro Park's side and attacked the complainant with knife and forcibly robbed his mobile phone. They then fled from the spot, police said.
