A history-sheeter was shot dead allegedly by his friend inside the Bhind district hospital here in the wee hours today after a minor scuffle, police said.
Vimlesh Upadhaya aka Daua (28) was shot dead by one Dharmendra Bhadoria near the maternity ward of district hospital, Bhind Superintendent of Police (SP) Vineet Khanna told PTI.
The problem began after Vimlesh, Dharmendra Bhadoria and Sanju Bhadoria drank together last night. They returned to their homes later but after some time Vimlesh and Sanju entered into a heated argument on the cell phone over some minor issue, he added.

Following this, Sanju and Dharmendra reached the house of Vimlesh on a motorbike and matters turned ugly. Vimlesh shot at Sanju and injured him, the SP said.
Sanju, who suffered a bullet wound on his chest was rushed to the district hospital.
After reaching hospital, Dharmendra suddenly turned violent and with a country-made pistol fired at Vimlesh, killing him on the spot.
Vimlesh who ran to the maternity ward for cover sustained four bullet injuries, Khanna said.
Vimlesh, Sanju and Dharmendra are hardened criminals and their names figure in the goons list of the district.
According to police, Vimlesh had been externed from the district for his anti-social and criminal activities in 2014 while Sanju had been a detainee under National Security Act (NSA) in the past.
Dharmendra too have a criminal record, the SP said adding a hunt has been launched to arrest him.
Further investigations are on, the SP said.
