Criminals loot Rs 10 lakh from cattle traders

Motorcycle borne criminals today looted around Rs 10 lakh from cattle traders hailing from West Bengal near Dighri village in Bihar's Katihar district, a police officer said.

The incident took place when a dozen criminals riding on six motorcycles intercepted an auto rickshaw and snatched the bags from traders containing around Rs 10 lakh in cash at gun point, Sub-divisional Police Officer(SDPO) Rakesh Kumar said.

Four traders traveling on the auto rickshaw, had come from Kumedpur in West Bengal and were on their way to Katihar for buying cattle.

Police have arrested four criminals of the gang, the SDPO said adding search is on for others.
