Crisil appoints Ashu Suyash as new MD & CEO

Rating agency Crisil today announced Ashu Suyash as its next Managing Director and CEO with effect from June 1.

Currently, Suyash is CEO of L&T Investment Management Ltd. At Crisil, she will succeed Roopa Kudva, who has been the MD and CEO of the rating agency since 2007.

Global rating agency Standard and Poor's (S&P) is the majority shareholder in Crisil, which provides ratings, research, and risk and policy advisory services, among others.

Previously, Suyash was MD and country head (India) for Fidelity's asset management business. She had also worked with Citigroup India.

"I am delighted to welcome Ashu as the next MD and CEO of Crisil. I look forward to working with Ashu to enhance Crisil's leadership position in providing independent ratings, research, risk and policy advisory services to clients in India and around the world," Crisil's chairman of the board Douglas Peterson said in a release.
 

"I look forward to working with the board, employees, clients, and other stakeholders," Suyash said.
