CRPF and NGO launch skill development programmes for youths

Under the programme, the youths will be given extensive training to hone their driving and mechanical skills that will fetch them jobs as drivers and mechanics, CRPF DIG Umesh Kumar said.

He said that 50 youths from Munger and Jamui districts have been selected for the first phase of the three month training programme.

Most of the identified youths were suceptible to allurements from Maoists or were sympathizers, the CRPF(131 Battalion) commandant B C Patra said.

The training programme for these 50 youths will cost Rs 50 lakhs that will be sponsored by the CRPF, the NGO - 'Panah Ashram's' secretary Mahfooz said.
