CRPF jawan hurt in pressure bomb explosion in C'garh

A CRPF jawan was today injured in a pressure bomb blast in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district.

The incident took place when the jawan, Pradip Kumar, accidentally stepped on the pressure bomb planted under a road connecting Ganeshbahar Nala and Fundri ghati, police said.

Kumar was part of a CRPF team patrolling the area which falls under Bhairamgad police station limits.

Before the incident, a cow got injured after it stepped on a pressure bomb at the same spot.

The jawan was shifted to local hospital and then to Raipur for better treatment.

A case has been registered in this connection, Dantewada Additional Superintendent of Police Ramkrishna Sahu said, adding that further probe is on.
