The last rites of CRPF Jawan Ravindra B Dhanawade, who was among eight security personnel killed in a terrorist attack in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, were conducted at his village Mohat in Jawli tehsil of Satara district in western Maharashtra tonight.

Head constable Dhanawade, who joined the Central Reserve Police Force in 2000, is survived by wife, two children and mother.

A pall of gloom descended on the village after the news of Dhanawade's death came.

Eight security personnel, including four CRPF men, were killed when militants carried out a suicide attack on a district police complex in south Kashmir's Pulwama yesterday. The three terrorists were also killed in the massive gunfight.
