CRPF sets up shelters for needy kin of patients at AIIMS

In a gesture for families of patients admitted to the trauma centre of the AIIMS here, CRPF has set up sleeping tents for them and save from hefty lodging charges.

The paramilitary force, which is headquartered in the national capital, has set up two tents made of thick clothing with 100-beds in the AIIMS trauma centre complex.

The beds will be provided free-of-cost to those family members whose kith or kin is admitted to the Centre.

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) team has been posted here to do the necessasry administrative work and look after admissions.

Former India cricket captain Kapil Dev inaugurated the shelter which is an initiative of the wives welfare association of the force.
 

Kapil lauded the initiative and said such gestures make the world a beautiful place.

CRPF chief Dilip Trivedi, along with his wife Suneeta, said the shelter is a gesture from the paramilitary towards the needy.
