The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today started pre-induction training for its personnel here to prepare them in handling law-and-order problems, especially mob violence, and militant attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

The training of the ninth batch started at the zonal training centre at Nagrota here with an aim at acquainting the newly-inducted personnel about the security scenario in the state and preparing them in handling the unique law-and-order situation, a CRPF spokesperson said.

Special focus during the training would be to devise ways and means to deal with militant attacks and protest by unruly mobs through case studies, participative discussion and sharing of experiences by officers and prominent guest lecturers, he said.

The spokesperson said the essence of the endeavour is also to refresh their knowledge of minor tactics and expertise on newly-inducted equipment.
